I love these books, BUT they end too soon!! And I’m not just saying that because I never want books to end! A lot of loose ends are left when the book ends. It never fully wraps up all the things that occur throughout the specific characters story. It’s really frustrating to be left wonder who someone is, or how a person fits into a characters life. Like the first book, we got a small peek at Sean’s parents, but didn’t get to fully see their reaction to her pregnancy, the adoption, or even the gay announcement. Then in the next books they are separated and the mom is a saint! It makes no sense! Then there’s the “spoiler” with Drew and the book mentions the lack of a resolution to the “spoiler” throughout the first three quarters of the book! Then just wraps up the end with out telling us the Who and why about the “spoiler”!! So frustrating! Even if we find resolutions to these plots in another story, I think we deserve to read about it in that characters story so we can get their POV and that of their partners!!! I get making it so one book feeds into another with one ongoing story, but I feel like that’s not what’s happening here!!! Still love the books, and think the author is great at telling original stories just wished they’d take another 25-50 pages to finish the character’s journey!! The first few chapters of this book will rip your heart out. Quinn spends the rest of the book putting it back together.You can feel every emotion from Eric as he stumbles upon Drew after he's attacked. It's not an easy scene to read, but that scene and also the scenes from the hospital shine a light on Eric's feelings for Drew. Add in Drew's attraction to both Eric and Bryce, and his subsequent encounters with both, there's definitely an undercurrent of uncertainty in all three men.Quinn does triads very well. I've loved every triad book they have written.
